Trust me you are far from being alone! I struggle with that all the time, especially being in grad school where money is tight. I struggle with the correct answer here: on one hand I do think there needs to be a premium for ethical, sustainable products because they are higher quality, made to last, and people are paid better throughout the lifecycle. On the other hand, it is unreasonable for many of us to afford products like this on a consistent basis.

So maybe a better solution is tackling consumerism and the amount of product that we feel that we need. Patagonia preaches this as well, and although a difficult mindset, it might be the right one.
