My friend is a PhD student in astrophysics. Although his work is not directly in nuclear physics, he consistently talks about the potential of nuclear energy and the negative narrative that has been built around it (and those implications). I definitely agree there are some cons and risks involved, but I also wonder if the narrative is almost to the point of no return and we lose out on a potentially incredible source of energy. Wish we opened the dialogue on an international level more on this topic!
